to attend courses and seminars about sufism and sounds
Mohammad’s source of inspiration are his love for sounds and music. He invites us to come into contact with our natural, inner sounds/tones, whose purifying powers help us find our self-healing powers.
Before sounds develop, breath is flowing through our entire being, finding its expression in the voice. Out of this continuous movement arises rhythm, symbolized by the pulsing heart.
We are accompanied by breath, sound and rhythm all our life, they are the key to our body and our soul, and are available to everyone at any time. You just have to be aware of them and use them.
This does not mean a technical, intellectual method, like using an instrument, but rather an intuitive experience, depending on the individual’s willingness to receive it.
Mohammed integrates his experiences of two different worlds, the western and the eastern world, uniting them through his musical experience and intuitive power. His source of inspiration is the spiritual message for understanding among the nations by Mevlana Djelladedin Rumi, a 13th century mystic sufi master.
Mohammed uses the sounds of his instruments for his work, above all the NEY (reed pipe) and the OUD (lute), whose sounds create a relaxed and meditative condition; he furthermore employs SIKR (or mantram) – holy syllables, which are rhythmically repeated and of course various rhythm instruments (frame drums and others).
